Story detail:

Little Red Riding Hood - Charles Perrault

Little Red Riding Hood lived in a house in the wood with her mother. One day, she went to see her grandmother. She was taking a nice cake in a basket that her mother had baked for her.

On the way, Little Red Riding Hood met a wolf. “Hello!” said the wolf. “Where are you going?”

“I’m going to see my grandmother.” answered the little girl. “She lives in a cottage behind those trees.”

The wolf rushed off to the cottage and ate up the grandmother. He then put on the grandmother’s bedclothes, got into her bed, and waited…

Soon, Little Red Riding Hood reached the cottage. She looked at the wolf.

“Granny, what big ears you have!”
“All the better to hear you with,” replied the wolf.

“Granny, what big eyes you have!”
“All the better to see you with,” he answered

“Granny, what big teeth you have!”
“All the better to eat you with!”

A woodcutter was passing by in the wood and heard a loud scream. He ran to the house.

He hit the wolf over the head with his axe. The wolf opened his mouth and grandmother jumped out. The wolf ran away and Little Red Riding Hood never saw him again.
